Wenjie Lu, Director, China Investment Strategist, joined BlackRock in February 2017. In this role, he will be responsible for formulating in-depth local market insights, representing these and investment team views with clients and internal stakeholders, and facilitating China business development across multiple asset classes.


Prior to joining BlackRock, Wenjie was a China Equity Strategist at UBS Securities based in Shanghai, where he led the ChinaH-share strategy research team and was awarded in Institutional Investors and AsiaMoney polls. He started his career at Deutsche Bank Hong Kong, as an analyst in the China macro research team. He's also worked at Ping An Insurance and China International Capital Corporation.

Wenjie holds a B.S. and M.Sc from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a M.Eng from Ecole Centrale de Paris.
